Our Annual Day at the Pumpkin Patch 2009
Happy Fall ... my favorite time of year!
Wally and I were commenting that we didn't have any sort of pumpkin patch to visit when we were growing up. I don't know if it's a regional activity or we just didn't know about them when we were kids. Anyway, it sure is fun to visit them now. The one we went to last year and this year is full of activities for everyone, so it's easy to spend hours there!
This is the first year we could talk Mason into getting his face painted. He wiggled and giggled all the way through. The poor girl could only get this much done because she got tickled at him laughing so much.
They have a little ATV train and quite a fun course to ride through with hills, curves, tunnels, a forest of Christmas trees, and of course, the pick-your-own pumpkin patch.
Here are our painted pumpkins. Not gonna tell you who did which one - not so proud of mine.
Just love all these pumpkins to choose from and all the colors and smells of this place!

Indian Summer 2009
Whoa! It's been months since posting on Xanga. I'm linking this to my other site too, so bear with me if you happen to be one of the few folks who will see my pictures twice.
These are random pics of activities we have been enjoying during this last month of Summer. It actually sprinkled a few drops today. Could that mean that Fall is on the way? Maybe, but it was over 100 degrees yesterday. The temps today have been perfect. Gotta love this Northern California weather!

Birthday Dinner
We had a great dinner out with friends, Starr and Jeff, celebrating their birthdays at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Walnut Creek. The food was great and the company was even better.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Oakland Raiders
Wally got free tix to a preseason game in San Francisco.
We decided to make it an overnighter, 'cause ... that's what we do.
Our hotel was down in the business district, near the infamous San Francisco Chronicle and the shopping areas.
These kind of self-portraits rarely turn out for me. Eeeeew!
Visiting at K & M's Home

That's Krystal, looks like me because that's my hat. She'll be thrilled that I put swimsuit pictures of her on here! This lagoon flows through the apartment complex.

This is at the Franciscan Winery along the road home from the beach, through Sonoma and Napa wine country. Beautiful drive!

Oh my, Christmas is my last posting? What can I say? Facebook has become my new addiction. What a fun way to network with old and new friends!

Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Mason and I decorated a gingerbread house.
It's the first time for either of us, believe it or not.
He had so much fun but could not resist
eating the decorations right away.

snack day at preschool. Yummy and cute.
Krystal and I went out for some last minute items on Christmas Eve around midday. Mason lasted about 2 minutes in the store before he just laid down on his hand and went to sleep.
For dinner on Christmas Eve, we went to a great steakhouse in the nearby town of Winters, called Buckhorn. Delicious, as always!
Finally, Santa came to bring lots and lots of presents!
Mason's favorite gift is his Speed Racer race track.
He also likes his new tools.
Mason didn't understand that all of the gifts were not for him.
And then there's Romeo. He always has to be in the middle of the action.

Kickin' It In Cabo!
To celebrate our birthdays and because I had a couple of weeks off in November (when I have time off, I feel the need to travel ) and because it was an opportunity for all four of us to take a vacation ... I bring you photos of our trip to Cabo - Cabo San Lucas and Cabo San Jose, Mexico!
We stayed at this great, all-inclusive resort on the beach in Cabo San Jose.
The first day we went into the city of Cabo San Lucas to do some sight seeing, have lunch, etc.
Mason was such a hoot! Here he is donning my sunglasses - upside down!
He was thrilled to see dolphins swim by the windows in this tank!
This was at Hard Rock Cafe. The wait staff took Mason to play the drums and guitar. Business was slow at that time in the afternoon, so I guess they wanted entertainment. He loved it!
These are shots of the waterpark that was part of the resort.
We walked down to city centro of the village of Cabo San Jose.
The pools were fabulous! I think there were three plus the children's waterpark area. We especially liked the swim up bar, all-inclusive means drinks too.
And then, there was the beach. The water was warm, the sun was perfect and we felt a little homesick for our Florida beaches, sand and all.
Mason loved the water this time. In FL he wouldn't even walk on the sand, much less touch the water.
Wally liked the water, too.

This is how Mason passed the time while waiting for us to dress for dinner or just to unwind from the pool and beach. He does have some clothes on.
Some of our dress up pictures. For dinner, we could choose from several international buffets or make reservations in one of the restaurants. We decided to eat in the Italian restaurant, Marco Polo, twice because it was so nice and absolutely delicious.
What a terrific vacation, even more fun because all four of us got to go together. Thanks for a good time, Mason, Krystal and Wally. I love y'all!
